Ich habe eine sehr ähnliche Anforderung hier angegeben.
Ich muss den Browser des Benutzers manuell starten, wenn $('a#someID').click();
Ich kann jedoch die window.href-Methode nicht verwenden, da sie den aktuellen Seiteninhalt durch die Datei ersetzt, die Sie herunterladen möchten.

Um zu erzwingen, dass der Browser eine Datei herunterlädt, die er ansonsten rendern könnte (z. B. HTML- oder Textdateien), muss der Server das MIME-Typ der Datei auf einen unsinnigen Wert setzen, z. B. application/x-please-download-me oder alternativ application/octet-stream, der für beliebige Binärdaten verwendet wird.
Wenn Sie es nur in einem neuen Tab öffnen möchten, kann der Benutzer nur auf einen Link klicken, dessen target -Attribut auf _blank gesetzt ist.

Sie können einen versteckten HTML-Link haben und einen Klick darauf vortäuschen. Wenn der HTML-Link das Download-Attribut hat, wird die Datei heruntergeladen und nicht angezeigt, egal was passiert.
